Almost done

HI, it's Amberly... i got to do the blog a lot this year. so, we just took a spelling quiz and are about to do our last reading quiz. This is the last friday of the year, and i think the year went by fast. Maybe it's just me. Mr. Walden is being a BIG slacker today, he took the day off! Our lighthouse leader is gone too!We should be shearing our compound/complex machines today, and reciting the preamble to the constition. Yesterday we were in a code red lockdown!Witch means we sat on the floor for an hour, fun! Overall, we had a fun year, next week is the last week of school, field day, and summer break. Conferances are coming...I'm scared.

hannah hates titles!!!

Hi I'm Hannah today is a blue day. We are done with OUR book holes and are having are last meeting now. We are having field day next week in the morning and are definitely going to get wet. Last week we went on a field trip to wonder lab it was reaLly cool we got to pet a corn snake.Today in science we are going to plan our simple machines.And maybe start bulding.My group is going to get a laundry basket to the washer and dryer.We also only have a week and a half before summer break yayyyyyy! right now we are having snack time it is realy loud.We were tOo loud at lunch and I think today it is alphabetical seating.

Good but sad weak

Hi my name is Hunter. Our fish MC Fishtank died on monday the whole class had to make a eulegy. We are going to bury him in the ground and plant a plant there. We are going to call it our MC Fish plant. On the bright side we got to go to the Indians game and that cheered us up, but we are still sad about MC Fishtank. We will all cherish him where ever we go. He will always be remembered.

Sydney Forgot a Title!

Hi my name is sydney. We are writing our penpals as morningwork. Next week we have a fieldtrip. It is to a baseball game. Then the next week after that we get to meet our penpal as a fieldtrip. For the next 3 weeks on Wednesday we have a computer test called NWEA. You get as long as you need.I got finished early with my penpal letter and my job is to write a blog post this week some time. We get to color after we are done writing. It is quiet besides the pencils moving. This is my first blog post but I think it is great. When we are finished we read our books. Our class is reading HOLES BY: LOUIS SACHAR and it is a realy great book.We just had recess and I played football. A kid named Sam fell in the mud and got on his side.The players on my team were realy great.I think we won but it was realy close so if not we all did great.After playing we all say good game in the hall when we get a drink of water.We are getting ready to go to Art, Spanish,and music.

Hi, my name is Chris and today we are about to have a spelling test and also a reading test. Today is the heifer international wear an animal shirt and jeans for a dollar.NWEA is also coming up next week. Also only 23 days of school left until summer break. Also our two fieldtrips are coming up as well.

The week after istep

Hi, this is jaylah and it is the week were everyone is happy that ISTEP is over but we need to look forward to NWEA. We need to make our goals because if you get in the bugg club then you can have the chance to win a ipod shuffle. Another thing we are happy about is that we are going on two field trips in about two weeks and one of them we will be going to a indians game and the other we will be meeting our pen pals in bloomington and we will probably all be tired at the end of the day. One sad thing is that one of our class mates megan has left the school because she is moving and we will all miss her so much.In math we are working on working backward and it is a littel tricky but once you get used to it , it is pretty easy.In language we are working on compare and contrast.Welll that is all for today.

We have just finished Istep and the food drive is still going on so bring canned food it will really help. When its after friday the food drive will be over. Tomorrow we will have a reading test. In math we are reviewing about adding and subtracting uneven fractions

Hi I'm Delaney and this week we are doing ISTEP. We are also working on many other things in cultures and P.E. Today we are having a book auction because people bought books online for Scholastic book orders and we get free books from Scolastic when we order online. This week we will be off scedule because of ISTEP so it will be a little crazy. Bye!

It looks like I'm the only one writing the blog this week. We are learning new and exciting things. Especially in science. We are learning about the sun and what happens when it's too big. We are learning common denominators in math. Also converting fractions into decimals. Thats just spiral review. One of the students left our school on Friday. It was Akelah Gonzalez. Today is Friday as you all know, a lot happened we had three test today, math, spelling, and science, in P.E today we had outdoors free-choice Friday! And in choir we got to pick our favorite songs and present the songs to the class, and after that out of all of those we choose our top three favorites. Hey it's me Lexi. We are back from a long springbreak. We have spelling words this week they are not hard at all the hardest they get is ''thoughtful''.People have not been doing their jobs so Mr.Walden is going to start taking tickets. Last week on Friday Mrs. Alford was not here so I had to help clean the gym. Mr.Walden sent home a book catalog. Please, if you are going to order do it online with the code that was sent home with your child on Friday. The more people buy online the more free books we get for our classroom. We owe a big thank you to the party helpers we had that planned our party before springbreak. I know this blog is boring. It's Monday what do expect. The Girl Scouts Troop is doing something called ''Can Mrs.Pryor in her Office''.We need your child to bring in canned food items in to their classroom and there they will be tallied. The Girl Scout troop will be buying the class a pizza party to thank them for all their hard work. The Weekend Packs(the can mrs.pryor in her office) thanks you for your support. Last day before spring break

Hello im Jerimiah, today is wednesday and tommorow is the day before spring break. Tommorow all the students in Mr. Waldens class that has passed division will have a pizza movie party tommorow. There will also be another party for every student in Mr. Waldens class at 1:50 tommorow. Today we will be doing cultures then social studies and thats the rest of the schedule we need to finish for today. Also we are doing a state project and your kids state info will need to be finished in pen on April 8th, 2011. I hope everyone has a very good 10 day break!!

Today has been pretty good so far and we did not get to go outside because a dog got loose. ISTEP IS FINISHED!

Hi im jerimiah jackson and we just got finished with istep last week on wednesday. It was good because there was only three people who missed science but had to make it up. So im glad that its over and today we just started practicing on what we are doing for the social studies class project. We are going to make a united states with rivers and (e.t.c). And soon we are going to do the fifty nifty united states of america song in the next few weeks. And tell your kids if their not past division to work at home because if every gets past division then on the thursday when spring break starts we will watch a movie and get pizza. As you all know we started doing math homework over the weekend too but they're simple. So bye!

ISTEP'S HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi its amberly for the who-knows-how-manyinth time. So,the weekend is over and school is back. As you can probably tell by the title, istep has started. This morning we took math, and L.A. I found math easy, but the L.A.writing prompt was harder. Also, in gym, we have started c-motion!(If you don't know what that is, it's like dance dance revolution.)And it worked! The adventures of Sam

Hello,my name is Sam S. and today we had another debate on if bottled water is better than tap water. We all did really great and I had a good statement, however, there was a funny part where Mr. Walden went up against Savanna. Savanna had a great statement also and she won that debate, she made an action statement that she changelled all of us to cut down and reduce, reuse, recycle as the saying goes. Earlier from 8:30 A.M. to 9:25 A.M. we used our reading books again, man, we didn't use those in a while. The story we read was "Shlemiel's Journey to Warsaw" or something like that, and Shlemiel was kind of a shlemiel. It talked about a chelm 1 and a chelm 2 and how Shlemiel didn't have his wife and children in chelm 2 because the real Shlemiel leaved at the beginning. Our science fair experiments were totally off the hook, I was #59 and I hate that number, but also, a lot of people did popcorn popping for there experiments, including me, and I mean A LOTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!! I enjoyed writing this blog to all of you, it was SPECTACULAR!

I can't think of one

Hi my name is Isaiah. Today in class we are finishing our Bridge to Terabitha Jeopardy quizzes. We finished science fair last week and it went very good. Every one did good. All the judges were nice- i think ms.lutz was the nicest.










Today band has spanish, choir has art, and general music has music. Thursday we finished the book and the movie Bridge to Terabitha. Every one liked it-- at least i think every one liked it. Im pretty sure every one liked it. I think we dont have any home work tonight but im not sure. Its snowing again i hope we dont miss any more days so we dont have to make the days up. So we will still have all of our spring break any ways thats all for today.

Crazy Winter!

Hi, this is Jaylah one of our blog writers for the week. Today is Monday, January 24,2011. This week we are most likely going to get a good start of the week after a three day weekend. This week's LightHouse leader is Brady Mead. Last week we had a NWEA test and only about half the class was there. Last week was a very crazy week everyone was shadowing and every one was at home sick lots of kids had fevers or just didn't feel good. Wednesday we have another NWEA test so have to get ready for it and I am pretty sure it is language and I think people are going to get good scores on that one. Everyone needs to start working on resarch reports for the science fair they are due Feb.2nd. That is all for right now.

Winter time

As you know it is winter and we have not been having outside recess. So now in social studies we are learning about the declaration of independence and the American Revolution. ln math we are doing fractions! The class book is now "Bridge to Teribithia". And the big one is: lighthouse leader this week is Hunter Kennedy. So that's about it . Let's keep our fingers crossed for some more inches of snow.
